Barbados, the birthplace of rum, is a jewel of the West Indies, astride the Caribbean and the Atlantic, 169 square miles of surprising beauty. Much more than palm fringed tropical beaches, Barbados is a wonderfully varied subject for travel photography, with limestone sea caves, green sea turtles, historic rum distilleries and rum shops, race horses bathing in the sea, and portraits of native Bajans living life easy. Join me in spring 2020 for a relaxed five days roaming this quintessential island, cruising back roads for culture, scenic and sports like kite surfing and even polo. This trip is all about learning new skills, from long duration wave captures to sea life and nightlife, spiced with boutique rums and exceptional cuisine. Kerrick will share his favorite locations and offer critiques during our stay, and techniques for spicing up your travel photography skills.
